brooklynwellnessMCR Covid-19 Policy

After an extended leave brooklynwellnessMCR is now open. I have made some changes in the process both before and during each session, to help ensure both your and my safety. Please read below so that you are familiar with the new procedures that are now in place.

Before you leave your home, please check your temperature, and consider if you

are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms:

  • Dry persistent cough

  • Temperature over 37.8° C

  • Lack of taste or sense of smell

If yes to any of these symptoms, please get in touch to postpone or cancel your appointment.

You will not be charged for a late cancellation due to Covid related symptoms/exposure.

For all clients:
•All consultations and intakes will be done ahead of time via phone/Zoom/Facetime, etc whether you are a new or existing client. Guidelines recommend that in person time is reduced and so this will allow our face to face time to solely be for your treatment.

•There will also be a consent form to complete regarding exposure to Covid-19. If you are considered a high-risk client, it may not be possible to go ahead with your massage.

•Your temperature will be taken by a touch free thermometer on arrival.

•Shoe covers will be provided for you.

•Clients are now required to wear a mask during your massage. Please arrive in your own mask. If you'd prefer a disposable mask to wear during your session I will provide one.

You can wear this mask or your own when you exit.

•Bathrooms will have soap, hand towels and pedal pins for you to use.

•Hand sanitiser will be available in the treatment room.

•I will no longer be supplying water; please bring your own.

•Bring any relevant forms and a pen with you to your session.

•Payments should be made ahead of time via bank transfer or PayPal. In the event you do need to make a cash payment it will need to be exact change.

What you can expect from brooklynwellnessMCR:

•Completion of the Get Your Practice Covid Ready course approved by the GCMT,

Massage Training Institute and Sheffield Centre for Massage Training.

•I will be taking my temperature everyday.

•I will be wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) until the requirements are relaxed.

This will include a face mask, visor, apron and gloves. All PPE will be cleaned

and/or changed between every session.

•I am currently limiting sessions to 3 a day with 90-minute gaps between clients. This will allow enough time to enable proper cleaning and disinfecting to take place.

•The treatment room, massage table and equipment, hallways, floor, bathrooms, handrails and all high contact points will be cleaned between every client with enough time to dry and take effect.

•As always, fresh linens are used for each client.

•At each session I will provide you with a Declaration and Consent Form confirming that I have not been in contact with anyone who has Covid-19 and that I do not have any symptoms.

I appreciate that this might seem overwhelming.

I am putting these measures in place to follow the best practice guidelines set out by the government and The General Council for Soft Tissue Therapies (GCMT) . Please if you have any concerns or questions regarding policies and safety, please feel call or email me so we can further discuss your concerns.

Thank you for your patronage and I really look forward to seeing you

on the massage table soon.
